imageThe nation's most arrogant bar is throwing a winter/Christmas beer fest from 3-9 p.m. on Dec. 10, with the proceeds from the beer fest going to buy a family of five Christmas presents and dinner. All you can eat or drink is $65; a 10 oz. pour of each beer is $45; and dinner only is $25.

The beers served will be rare and unique to Charlotte, including beers from such breweries as NoDa Brewing, Olde Mecklenburg Brewing, Duck-Rabbit, Dogfish Head, Founders and Brooklyn Brewing. More beers will be announced soon, but so far you can look forward to Founders Kaiser Curmudgeon, 2009 Dogfish Head Olde School, a cask of Duck-Rabbit's Paul's Bitter Holiday Ale and a cask of Olde Mecklenburg's Yule Bock.

In addition to sampling rare beers, you'll also have the chance to bid on beers through a silent auction. Again, the list of beers will grow, but just some of the beers being auctioned include a 1.5L bottle of Rochefort 8, a 3L bottle of Stone Double Bastard and a 3L bottle of Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA.

If you can, please support Mac's by attending this charity beer festival. You might also consider donating rare or unique beers for the silent auction (I know you've got them, Charlotte!).
