First I have to say.... Ive lived and hung in Mayfair my whole life. Since I've been going to the bars along Frankford Ave, I got to say Tom's is the ONLY bar along the Ave, that is not filled with a under age crowd! It's such a well rounded bar, with a crowd that's all ages (except under 21'ers)!! Tom's has been the only bar on the ave where when I walk in, you dont feel ppl staring at you or make you feel out of place. Even the grumpy old regulars will make a point to say hello to you. This is my favorite corner bar spot! To hang with the regulars, friends, shoot darts, play pool, and a down right good time!!!

So GUEST who posted 5/27/12 ....Tom's is the right kind of dive bar, they don't pretend to upscale or a "downtown" bar. Tom's is what the sign out front says... a SPORTS PUB!! ... it's a great spot to pull up a stool to watch a game, with always a drink special during GAMES, & always ice cold. AND WHAT OWNER would be at the door with a bouncer and allow (with a card scanner)to have under 21's to come in... Closest ive seen to a fight is the 6'7 bouncer removing someone from the bar, and them at 5'7 trying to prevent themselves being removed.

My question to you GUEST is this., cause it does NOT SOUND LIKE YOU KNOW WHAT kinda of bar TOM's even is...so.. was it YOU who was doing coke in the bathroom, didnt pick on someone your own size and its you or a friend with you "acting cool cause they have a siblings id"... in return got caught doing coke, picked a fight, and then the bouncers removed you... and very well possible its you with a id that scans over 21.. cause "your review" sounds like someone who hasnt even been out to many bars in Mayfair & stated like someone who hasnt even matured yet.
PROS:PROS: If a fight even looks like it will start.. those involved always get removed from the bar! So no fights.

the regulars in this Pub, most importantly never make it "uncomfortable" when you walk in like most places. Even the younger regulars dont stare you down (if you know Mayfair bars, you know what I mean).... And if you live in Mayfair, and stay in Mayfair to go out at night.. You know and can prob name the top 4 bars that serve under 21 & which are KNOWN for the N-candy

Best corner bar I've ever been to, the friendliest people, great service and the nicest owners I have ever meet!! Don't understand that other review, doorman cards and I have never seen anyone under age in this bar or ever experienced a fight. As for the coke snorting I never witnessed anything of the sort, but tell me a place where that doesn't happen and I'll call you a liar!!! Any way, it's a great place to hang out with friends, shoot darts, play pool and have some great laughs!!!
PROS:Tom's is a friendly place to hang out and relax and feel comfortable!! And the beers are always ice cold!!

A dive bar that has people snorting coke in the bathroom and bouncer and owners allowing under age drinkers in and fights at least once a week. If you want a dive; this is the place for you.
