This bar is a zero. Hostile and pretentious. I've never been treated so poorly as a sober patron, anywhere, ever.
Just terrible. Hostile and pretentious. We were assaulted, threatened, and accused of drug possession by the staff for turning of a television. That's the gist. Read on. Tell your friends. The Market is a no go.

I went to Market last night for the first time with my girlfriend and two friends. We heard the roof top bar was nice. It is closed until may though, and however nice the roof top may be, I cannot imagine compensating for the hostile staff.

My one friend has a crutch because he snapped his ankle and had some pins put in recently. We walked to the back right, ordered 4 beers and stood at the long wooden table, at the end of which is a large plasma screen. The atmosphere seemed nice, kind of dead, but the decor was nice and it smelled of fresh wood. The TV was really bright, and no one appeared to be watching, so my friend, the one with the crutch, hit the power button and we kept talking and drinking There are roughly 15 other TVs all around, but this one was right in our face at the table.

Five minutes elapse, at which time the giant door man comes walking up, glaring at us, walks by me brushing my shoulder with his, and turns on the television. I asked, "Does that have to stay on?" He said, "Yea," and walked away. About 2 minutes go by. Then, the door man returns with another giant line-men-esque individual. He walked up to my friend who had turned the power off and said, "hey my man, come over here, how 'bout we talk for a minute back here. " The larger man, (easily 6'4" 300lbs) motioned to a back door right behind where we were standing, and opened it. I stepped in and said, "excuse me, I apologize for turning off the television, there is no reason to over react, we will gladly leave, we meant no harm." The large man turned to me and replied, "HEY, HE A GROWN ASS MAN, let him talk for himself," and then he placed his hand on my friend's shoulder and said, "now come back here anad talk to me."

The four of us were shocked. The giant door man stood next to the other man, staring at us with his arms crossed. The other giant guy, who never identified himself as staff and was wearing just an unlabeled grey sweatshirt. This big guy turned back to my friend with the crutch and said, "I'm only gonna ask you one question before I call my head of security, do you have drugs on you?" We laughed. What was this guy talking about.

What is the connection between a sober guy turning off a TV and drug possession? Why did he want to take our handicapped friend into a back room for turning off the TV? What did he plan on doing to him? We were having our first drink, talking and having a great time, and now minutes later we are being harassed by some very confused, very large men, who clearly had a point to make. The way they spoke to my girlfriend and the way we were treated as a group
PROS:The decor
CONS:Everything else. Namely the ignorant, hostile, "security."

I agree with this review.
