Food was great but when about a tablespoon of crud was half swallowed in my wine the mate'r de told me this was a regular occurence and that it's normal to have dregs in the bottom of a bottle of wine. I love a glass of wine, buy my own, do not have this problem. I was billed for the glass as well as the next that I couldn't swallow. The winery I was given a name of does not come up on a google search. I found this dis-honest, if there was some other problem, just admit to it, but they did not.

Our good friends brought us here last weekend - we live right up the street, but had never been. So glad we learned about it! 100% better than any of the chain restaurants in the area - very high quality and most of it is "home made" - does not taste like frozen re-heated, pre-packaged food at all. Huge menu, and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is great - but definitely not fancy. It's a sports bar (must be 21 & over) with several tv's, and pool tables. Really great place to watch the game, grab some good food, and hang out with friends.
PROS:Awesome, homemade food, great prices, fun place to watch a game. And no annoying kids!
CONS:Decor could use a little spiffing up, but it's also kind of "part of its charm."

My wife and I enjoy dining out. The Half-Time has, far and away, the best food in Vancouver. I'd call this place "Prime Rib quality for hamburger prices," but that would demean their outstanding burgers. The portions are enormous and elegantly presented. Food is served hot, not tepid as is so often the case. Mixed drinks are perfectly prepared.
PROS:Very quick and competent service. Plenty of flat-screen/HD TVs.
CONS:It can get loud in here, but only because everyone is having a great time.
