In a city full of beer bars, eulogy still stands out as one of the most unique and best because of their emphasis on European craft beer, well-versed bartenders, and fantastic Belgian inspired food. Eulogy is small, dark, and kind of smells like beer - basically an awesome beer bar.
PROS:Insanely great beer selection. Old, cool bars up and downstairs.
CONS:Parking stinks

I agree with this review.

Eulogy is a true drinking institution for all beer lovers (and food lovers actually). The beer comes from all over the country and world with an emphasis on Belgian beers. We spent our afternoon in the upstairs bar yesterday where we sampled a few beers from the knowledgeable bartender and drank a Kwak, St Bernardus Abt 12, and a Chouffe Houblon Dobbelen IPA Tripel - all of them were SO SO GOOD. We also had beer mussels and the Belgian Frietjes - to die for. If you like great beer and food, or are interested in checking out a Philly drinking institution make sure to check out Eulogy.
PROS:One of the best beer bars in the city, and probably country. The food is out of this world - mussels are incredible!

Eulogy is a dark wood neighborhood beer spot that happens to double as a fantastic restaurant. The food is Belgian inspired and I have tried everything from the mussels, to crab cakes, to burgers, to brats - the whole menu is excellent....mussels are definately my favorite though. As far as beer goes, there are over 300 bottled beers and about 20 or so on tap at Eulogy. The beer selection varies in styles, brewery origins, and alcohol content, but one thing is consistent with Eulogy beers: they are all hand-picked and very good - this is not a bar where you will find a miller lite. With that said, the majority of the beers featured at Eulogy are Belgian or US Craft beers. If you love beer or just want some good food in Old City make sure to get to Eulogy Belgian Tavern ASAP!
PROS:Beer. Friendly staff. Laid-back environment. 2 bars on 2 separate floors spreads out the scene. Excellent food.
CONS:None.

White Wine Mussels, Beneluxx Burger, & La Chouffe - Eulogy feels like a quiet European beer bar with the familiarity of home. There are bars on 2 different floors that feature an incredible selection of draught Belgian beers. Things aren't cheap but it is worth every penny. BEst beer in the city, best mussels in the city.
PROS:Cozy, best beer in city, food.
CONS:Parking.

I was here last night having some amazing beers and I was thouroughly impressed. The bartender knew EVERYTHING about his beers in bottles and on tap. I had several amazing beers including Leffe Blonde, Kwak, La Chouffe, and Eulogy's Blonde.....they were all different but very, very tasty. We didnt eat but the food, especially the mussels, looked delicious. There is a real feel of beer history in this dimly lit spot and I think ANYONE who likes good beer and is in philadelphia must make drinking a few at Eulogy imperative.

Eulogy is all it is talked up to be and a little more. There are 20 or so beers on tap and a huge list of bottled belgian and imported beers. I had a couple Noel beers so I could get a taste of the season and I finished with a lighter Leffe Blonde. We also ordered mussels from their selection of 5-6 flavors. I went with the garlic and butter ones and they were incredibly tasty. The servers are highly knowledgeable about their beers and the overall scene is laid back with dark lighting, quiet conversations, and a few small tvs. Overall if you are a beer lover this has to be a priority for you. Eulogy is as good as it gets for a beer lover!

Special Drinks:Beer is the name of the game at Eulogy....their menu includes over 300 international and domestic bottled beers and 21 draughts. Basically, if you like beer this is a spot for you

Environment:Eulogy is a small, dimly lit tavern located right in the heart of Old City. Good food, friendly service, and an amazing beer selection make Eulogy a popular sit-n-chat bar that attracts locals daily. The food is American/Belgian and includes all kinds of grub from delicious steamed mussels in various sauces to amazing burgers, and authentic Belgian Frietjes. Their draft beer is amazing and the "Eulogy Busty Blond" is a tasty brew brewed in Belgium specifically for Eulogy. All in all, if your in Old City and looking for good beer and awesome food all while being served by a friendly staff Eulogy Belgian Tavern is for you.
