You can spill a drink and he will shut the place down as if we didn't help the place get to where it is now. The DJ does a good job sometimes but need to get better music. Overall loafers is a really chill spot and a good place for the person that doesn't like the club scene. I will continue to go. I used to frequent Loafers regularly (after the remodeling) with a mixed group of friends. However, my last few visits have left plenty to be desired. One evening a fight broke out, and instead of escorting the two guys out that were involved - the owner shut the whole place down and kicked everyone out, regardless if a drink or meal had just been purchased. Then last night, my friend was approached by the owner who asked "How come you never spend any money when you're in here?" which is COMPLETELY bogus. I won't be visiting Loafers again. CONS: Jerk Owner. Gratuity is automatically built in to the check, regardless of poor service.11/9/2008 6:08:40 PM
I saw an awesome reggae band there last month and was surprised at what they have done to the place!!! PROS: Very clean and the wood floors looked fresh.CONS: They only have live music there occasionally.11/8/2008 11:10:20 AM
