Environment:
Bar Noir is a dimly lit, French themed bar/pub with a lot of character. The bar itself is small and cozy with a couple tables and a few bar stools accompanied by a French decor including French movie and landmark pics. The bar itself offers the whole spectrum of liquor and bottled beer, but the daily and everyday specials are usually what attracts the crowds. There is a small DJ booth also, so expect the scene to get jumping at night regardless of the size of the bar. Consistent with other bars owned by this company (Drinker's, Lucy's, etc), Bar Noir is very simple and plain while the drink specials, music, and friendly atmosphere make the place a success. Whether stopping in for a 2 dollar PBR, or meeting a crew of friends out to get bombed Bar Noir will please your drinking needs.
Additional Comments:
Located in the Rittenhouse Square area of Philly. This bar is very similar to the other bars under the same ownership in Philly including Drinker's, Lucy's, A Bar Named Sue (formerly SoMa), and NoChe. Usually Bar Noir does not have a huge line or monster crowds, but expect it to be at least modestly packed inside because of the size of the bar.
