February 2012 Newsletter

February 2012 Newsletter - Beer Pong is Back!

We may be just over a month into the year 2012, but the US Beer Pong season is at mid-season form with satellite tournaments popping up all over the country providing winning teams with entries into big time tournaments like The World Series of Beer Pong VIII and the World Pong Tour Atlantic City Championship.

The World Series of Beer Pong is the largest, longest-running organized beer pong tournament in the world, created by beer pong players, for beer pong players. Last year's event drew over 1,000 participants from 45 U.S. States and 5 Canadian Provinces, offering the largest payout in beer pong history of $65,000. Games are played on 8-foot BPONG Tables, and WSOBP Rules govern all gameplay. Players may buy-in to the event at any time prior to Dec. 10, 2012, or they may choose to win their way to the event by competing in an official Satellite Tournament.

WSOBP VIII is held January 1-5, 2013 at The Flamingo Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV.

To find out about satellite tournament locations for the WSOBP VIII please refer to the National Beer Pong League's map at http://www.bpong.com or the BarFinder.com announcement area.

The World Pong Tour (WPT) is the host of two major Pong tournaments on the east coast. The WPT Championship has been held for the past three summers in Atlantic City. The WPT US Pong Open took place in November of 2011 at the Golden Nugget Casino and saw over $10,000 in prizes. Players may buy-in to the WPT events or they can win their way to the event by competing in an official or affiliate qualifier.

The WPT Championship is held June 24-26, 2012 at The Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, NJ.

To find out about satellite tournament locations for the WPT Championship please refer to the World Pong Tour (who we happen to sponsor) qualifiers page: https://www.worldpongtour.com/tournaments/index.php, or the BarFinder.com announcement area. You can also buy your way in through the World Pong Tour site here: https://www.worldpongtour.com/tournaments/ac.php.
