February 2011 Newsletter

Have you heard about weekly Beer Pong leagues or Baggo/Cornhole leagues that seem to be gaining popularity at your favorite drinking establishment? What about that weekly wing-eating contest that keeps drawing larger and larger crowds? Well, it seems that way because bar games and events are getting wildly popular and may be on their way out of your local bar and into the "big time". Perhaps the best examples of such contests making their way to the national scene are the Wing Bowl in Philadelphia, the World Series of Beer Pong in Vegas, and the World Championship of CornHole in Huntington, WV.

Last Friday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, 610 WIP's Wing Bowl 19 took place and drew a crowd of 15,000+ people, $20,000 in prize money and a 2011 Dodge Ram truck, lots of local and national media coverage, "celebrity eaters", and a raucous scene that "Wing Bowl" creators could not have ever imagined.

From January 1st-5th, 2011 the WSOBP VI put on by BPONG.com took place in Las Vegas, where contestants competed for $50,000 and national bragging rights in a huge venue (Flamingo Hotel/Casino). Hundreds of teams entered the tournament while thousands of spectators cheered on their favorite squads.

Finally, on September 4th-5th, 2010 in Huntington, WV, the World Championship of Cornhole gave players the chance to win a $5,000 prize pool and national bragging rights while competing in a large arena packed with spectators.

BarFinder.com loves bar games and events and we want to help catapult these neighborhood bar games to the big leagues in 2011. If you are a bar owner, manager, or a loyal patron, and want to bring Beer Pong, Baggo, CornHole, Quizzo, or any fun game/event to your establishment, contact us so we can show you how a simple game can bring local and national attention to your establishment.

You can utilize our announcement system to promote all your events for FREE and ensure the turn out you are hoping for.

Remember, Beer Pong tournaments, CornHole leagues, and food-eating contests all started as fun ideas and turned into legitimate forms of entertainment. Use BarFinder.com to find and promote the "next thing" in 2011!
