    Environment:†Tripdavon seems to be the result of a happy coincidence of individually accomplished musicians who happened onto each other at the right time in the right place‚?¶ Guitarist and small time producer Greg Doscher met funk bass phenom Dave Heer through a mutual friend in late 2003 and soon after began collaborating on a musical project that was being recorded in Greg's closet-sized college bedroom. This project also included some amazingly original material from guitarist Adam Coons who happened to be Greg's neighbor at the time. Some of these early recordings would be developed into the songs that appear on Tripdavon's debut album‚?¶but that's later. In the meantime Greg, Adam, and Dave had decided that they needed a good drummer and singer to develop the sound further and to play a couple of live shows that were being worked out for the end of the month. While guitarists seem to be a dime a dozen in Southern California, a good singer and a solid drummer can prove to be elusive. Fortunately, the search for both proved to be a lot simpler than anyone could have suspected when Russ Cummings called Dave out of the blue one day after having heard through a string of friends about a bass that Dave had recently acquired. Figuring he must be a good bassist for the caliber of instrument that he purchased, Russ invited the guys over to jam that evening at both he and Justin Fox‚??s studio. Russ Cummings and Justin Fox grew up in Santa Barbara and spent the early part of their high school friendship writing and recording songs together with a plastic karaoke microphone and an old beat up computer. Russ began drumming when he was only six years old, studying an array of styles from Jazz to Metal which would eventually lead to his unique style in Tripdavon. Justin Fox began singing when he was five years old, recording a rendition of ‚??New York, New York‚?Ě in a novelty recording booth at an amusement park.
