Band/DJ Information

Music Style:
    Band: Yes
    Price Range: Unknown
Environment: After a successful 2 years, tragedy struck. The band known as Counterfeit went on hiatus in the month of April 2006, which gave birth to Tragedy N April. The band consists of Frank Morris (vocals), Eddie Schmidt (guitar), Adrian Barbosa (bass), and Joey Lopez (drums). They're all from Brownsville, Texas. Frank left Counterfeit last April to live in Austin, while the band stayed in Brownsville and continued to play cover songs. During the time that Frank was in Austin, Eddie and Joey met their future bass player (Adrian) and started writing songs. When a few songs were done being written (Wednesday, Another Swing Song) the trio drove up to Austin in Eddie's F150 with all of the equipment in the backseat because of the rainy conditions, and recorded the songs with Frank who als happens to be the band's producer. After the 4 day visit and sleeping with on a miniture couch next to Brodie, the unofficial mascot bulldog, the trio drove back with some rough tracks. in the following month, September, Frank came down to the valley to stay just a week to vacation. Well that vacation has turned into a career. They have opened up for some popular acts such as The Burden Brothers, Hinder, The Ataris, Vallejo, Quietdrive, Houston Calls, Moros Eros, and list goes on.The band is currently writing & recording songs for their first album, as well as entertaining music lovers across Texas. You can check them out on myspace.com/tragedynapril.com or go to Hurricanes D Bar every Thursday night in Brownsville to check out their full night of original and cover music. Enjoy the site and stay posted for new songs and show info. Thanks for the support- - -TNA
