    Environment: Ten Forty is a band that consists of Michael Coy, lead vocals & lead guitar, Phil Conklin, bass guitar, and David Basham, Drums. This band originated overseas in Germany and had a very popular following throughout Europe. The two founding members, Michael Coy and Phil Conklin were in the Army together, since returning to the states they have once again became active in the music field. Michael Coy has had a long history in the music world and he comes from a family with an extreme amount of musical talent. He started off playing saxophone in the school band and quickly moved on from one instrument to another. He began playing the guitar soon after and has continued to improve his natural talent. He has played with other bands over the years and has held several different positions, including drummer. The music that he plays has ranged anywhere between bluegrass to rock. Phil Conklin was a member of the orchestra in school, but he was out of the music world for a while until meeting up with Michael Coy in Germany. Quickly Phil knew he wanted back in music and soon after Ten Forty was born. Phil started out as the lead singer and then found a strong interest in the bass guitar. David Basham, the drummer, began his musical career with percussion. Michael Coy and David started a band together back in high school and are very happy to be playing together once again. David has a deep love for music and the drums. Phil and Michael Coy are very pleased with the reconstruction of the band and look forward to a long career in the music industry. They all enjoy writing new compositions together and playing a variety of genres of music. Their love of music and interest of different styles gives them a variety of ideas, and the chance to bring different sides of the music world together.
