Band/DJ Information

Music Style:
    Band: Yes
    Price Range: Unknown
Environment: Brock Pollock, bassist of Swamping Bobulous, came up with a revolutionary idea during January 2006 of his senior year to streamline classical improvisational jazz into a targeted high school teen audience. He began this venture when consulting Rob Montgomery, Drummer of The Vibes, and Mike Vince to help him expose the jazz idea towards a high school audience. The three piece made their first debut during the Revere Variety Show as the Ira Jazz Project, and received exalting feedback from the student body. The fourth and fifth addition to the band included the addition of Akron and Cleveland Youth Symphony pianist Konrad Binienda, and Ryan Lentine, son of Lentine's Music. The band's first actual show took place at the Richfield Arabica, with a very large seventy to ninety person turn out. At this time they agreed to name the band Ira Jazz Project. Currently, they are beginning to take on weddings, catering parties, country clubs and larger venues, with the newest additions/replacements, Brian McMains, superior saxophone player from Firestone High School, and Steve Miller, a prodigy of the piano from Firestone High School. Ira Jazz Project now can range from a three to seven piece set, with a strong music diversity that is comforting in any environment. They will be available for booking every summer by contacting Rob Montgomery, 330-697-0641.
