Huge 4 part harmonies, all acoustic drums and guitars with party evoking stage antics & energy rivaling bands like the Beastie Boys & Chili Peppers! "A daring musical trapeze act" Fullerton Hornet's Andrew Lay boasts! Lead guitarist Matt Y describes the quartets sound with his coined phrase "Light on the gear, Heavy on the ear" hinting at the band not being burdened by traditional drum kits or amps. Over the last 2 years SavageKat has honed their unique sound, playing over 300 shows up and down the west coast. Working side by side with their ever diligent street team, SavageKat (Shawn, Matt, Cope and Allan) command a surprisingly large following for such a young, un-signed band. Selling out party buses to countless shows all over the tri-state area in venues like the House of Blues Anaheim & Las Vegas, & the BB King Blues club in L.A. Driven by Old-school work ethics and the "liv'n out tha ice chest" road dog mentality, SavageKat sold over 5000 copies of their Acoustic Debauchery demo prior to its official release! In August 2006, they released the official version of Acoustic Debauchery vol 1, the first of a 3 part album series audaciously dubbed "Outlaw Music!" Mobscene Magazine writer Byron Bullets embraced the album as a "breath of fresh air" after experiencing the bands' live performance opening for the Voodoo Glow Skulls at the 2006 Cornfest! Heavily influenced by traditional bluegrass, reggae, rock and hip-hop, Acoustic Debauchery Vol. 1 is truly a gem of playful diversity! Paying homage to the old while embracing the new has always been a staple of the "Savage Sound" and the soul attribute to the bands mass appeal.
