:: 2007 WSOBP III Satellite Tournament

December 1, 2007 BarFinder.com ran a Beer Pong tournament at the Atlanta Lounge in Huntington Beach. It was a great day. 36 teams came out for this event and played their hearts out. We want to thank everyone who came out to play and hope everyone had a great time.

36 teams came out to play, all competing for the $1,000 grand prize - 4 night/5 day hotel stay in Las Vegas, NV and a chance to win $50,000 by competing in the World Series Of Beer Pong. Only 1 could win and 1 did. The playing field was split into an East and West tournament. Each half consisted of 18 teams dueling it out in a double elimination tournament. The winners of each faced off in a heated final to determine the GRAND CHAMPION. The Flipping Biscuits won it all, with 50% taking 2nd and winning $100 and then BTA at 3rd and G'd Up got 4th. G'd Up and BTA should have faced each other in a show down for 3rd but they opted to leave resulting in BTA getting a forfeit and claiming the 3rd place prize of $50.

EAST BRACKET

After playing nearly perfect in their bracket, The Flipping Biscuits they suffered a defeat to G'd Up. Since the tournament was double elimination they got a chance to come back from the loser's bracket and win the EAST bracket by beating G'd Up in the next match.

WEST BRACKET

The West bracket almost mirrorred the East. 50% and BTA both played flawless until they faced each other in the Quarter Finals for the bracket. BTA took the first match causing 50% to drop into the loser's bracket. 50% battled their way back out of the losers bracket to get a chance at redeeming themselves against BTA in the finals for the West. 50% beat them twice in a row to crush their dream of winning the tournament.
